How it all started, where are we going?

The Past
With a strong background in entrepreneurship, and years of experience in the gaming software industry, Robert noticed that something is missing in the world of tipsters and their followers. He started to dig deeper and after months of research, brainstorming, interviews, sketching, and playing around with different names and concepts - Votebetting was born! The concept was presented to Mitja who recognized the potential immediately and joined as co-founder. After they got their seed funding secured the Votebetting journey to success could begin.
The Present
The decision was made, following the fast-to-market strategy to hire a company with an existing team to develop the MVP version of the Votebetting app. With a clear vision since day one and after preparing the project specifications including a clickable Figma prototype, the development started. As of May 2025 and after two years of development Votebetting app made it to the public-beta stage.
The Future
Backed with very positive feedback from our potential users, our experiences, and a strong network from the industry we're more than excited about the time to come. The Votebetting app is to power the tipsters and the first version is of course just the beginning of it. User feedback, metrics, and our industry insights are the guidelines we follow when deciding on which one of the many innovative ideas we have, is to be developed first. What we plan and expect in the following years is fast company growth and expansion based on introducing new cool features with gamification concepts taking the best from blockchain and AI development.

How applying for a job works?
Short and simple
STEP 1: Reach out
A formal CV or cover letter is no what we’re looking for. Share what you have been working on, what your passion is and a few words about yourself. Give us a day or two to check and reach back.
STEP 2: Non-technical interview
If we believe that we could cooperate, we schedule a conference call to get to know each other. It’s a chat over a cup of coffe, where we ask questions about your previous experiences and your vision. Of course you also get to know what we expect.
STEP 3: Code review
If you applied for a technical role and we did like what we heard until now, you’ll be asked to share some examples of code you have written (Github, Gitlab…). We’ll do a review and let you know what we think.
STEP 4: Technical interview, test
We dig a bit more into details in this final step. You’ll be addressed with some technical questions – we would like to know how you approach problems and try to understand your mindset as a developer. Before any code shared an NDA is going to be signed.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re in the public-beta stage our app’s, preparing for go-to-market in the next 2-3 months. We need your help to take over the debugging, testing, and maintaining the app, become a full-time member of our team as we continue to develop new features and enhancements. You should be open to take responsibility slipping into a role of a team-lead with the potential to grow into a CTO role when the time comes.
Your skills and Experiences
If you live and breathe code for at least 5+years, have a passion for crafting stunning and intuitive web apps (PWA) and experiences in the following technologies:
—>ReactJS, NextJS, TypeScript @Frontend
—>NestJS, MySQL, GraphQL, Kafka, gRPC, Redis, REST API @Backend
—>Digitalocean @Cloud
—>demonstrable portfolio of projects in the technologies above
—>unit testing, integration automation testing and deployment automation
and are fluent in English – then WE WANT YOU to be a PART OF OUR VISION! Engineering team management experience is a must.
